“I read this in a magazine. O.K so there was
this girl, and it was getting close to her b-day, and her mom bought her a
pretty little china doll. That night, she heard something singing "I'm a little
china doll I got a pocket knife, and I'm gonna kill you, I'm gonna kill
you." The girl was freaked out but she thought that it was just her
imagination. When she woke up, the china doll was on her pillow, not her
bedside table where she had put it. This time she put it in her closet, and
went to get ready for her party the next day. When she went to bed, she woke up
again to see the china doll on her bedside table, singing the same eerie
song. She thought it was her mom playing a trick on her, so she went back to
bed. The next night her friends and her were in the wreck room watching movies
when one of the girls sat up. "What was that, that song?" Sure enough, when
they listened they heard, "I'm a little china doll, I got a pocket knife, I'm
gonna kill you, I'm gonna kill you." They looked at the door to see the china
doll walking slowly toward them. They screamed when it leaped on one of the
girls and slashed her throat. They ran through the halls screaming for her
mother, but when the birthday girl looked behind her only her very best friend
remained. They heard the song coming closer, and when they reached the kitchen
they found her mother dead with her throat slashed out. They ran to her best
friends house, and they adopted her. Every night, they hear "I'm a little china
doll, I got a pocket knife, I'm gonna kill you, I'm gonna kill you" getting
closer and closer....” – Kathryn, WA
“My oldest sister once had a doll. She had
been broken long before I was born, and had been put away somewhere in our
basement. I had been told many stories about her; she was named Johannah after
my grandmother, she was very beautiful with raven black hair and full red lips.
She was a walking doll and would also close her eyes when put to sleep. She was
very tall for a doll, almost 4 feet. As I was a curious young girl, I spent
many long hours searching the basement boxes for any sign of this legendary
doll. Years passed, but I never gave up my search, so sure was I that I could
find her and restore her to health. One day I was playing hide-and-go-seek with
my other sisters, and I opted to hide in the tiny crawl space behind the
furnace. It was only about a foot wide, with the furnace on one side and the
back of a stack of boxes on the other. While waiting for my sisters to find me,
I passed the time by looking in a few of the boxes. Underneath one large box I
noticed a bright blue steamer trunk. I'd never seen it before! Maybe this could
be where Johannah has lain waiting for me all these years! I moved a few boxes
to gain access to the trunk and opened it in a flurry of excitement. There she
lay! All they said she would be and more! I reached toward her to lift her
from her makeshift bed when I noticed her right arm and leg at an odd angle.
They had both been broken off and were lying next to her head. This was
disturbing enough, but not as much as what happened next. SHE OPENED HER
EYES!!! No kidding! This is a sleeping doll we're talking about here, she
should not be able to open her eyes when lying down! Now I know that a doll's
face is molded with a fixed expression, and regardless of her eyes being open,
she should look the same. Not so with Johannah. As I watched, her expression
seemed to change to one of displeasure. There I was, trapped in a crawl space
behind a mountain of boxes with a doll that has just woken up grumpy from a long
sleep! I can tell you this: I slammed that lid down and scrambled over the
boxes before I even realized I was moving! I ran screaming upstairs and told my
parents the story, and when my Dad went down to see for himself, JOHANNAH WAS
GONE! I kid you not, we looked everywhere! The trunk was there, but she was no
longer in it. It was years before I could go back into the basement without
fear of her coming after me, and to this day I'm still terrified of dolls or
other inanimate objects coming to life.” – Linda, BC
